1980 Steelers 17 at Falcons 14 Preseason

If only the 1980 team could've stayed healthy. SO much talent! Bradshaw capitalizes on a Banaszak fumble recovery on Atlanta's first play and hits Rocky Bleier for a short TD pass in the opening minutes, and Cliff Stoudt scores on a 1-yd QB keeper early in the 3rd as the Super Bowl champs jump out 17-0 and hold off a 4th quarter Falcons rally. Bradshaw looks sharp in his first action of the preseason, hitting 10 of 16 for 163 yds for a TD while playing only the first half. Features an absolutely ridiculous head-over-heels catch by Lynn Swann on Pittsburgh's opening TD drive and includes Howard Cosell's halftime highlights. A huge Mac & Wife thank you to Jay Korber for generously providing us with this game!
At halftime, Howard previews the MNF schedule for 1980, plus we go to South Bend, Indiana for a live report on the resignation of Notre Dame head football coach Dan Devine, who is interviewed by ABC's Dave Diles.

You know you can watch these on the site now, right, danderson? It's not like the old days of VHS where there was just a list. Click the link at the top of the thread and BOOM! You're watching the game. Or you can view the games by season on the rest of the site.

I can even insert them in the thread (see below), although I think it's more fun to watch them via the link where they're embedded in vintage TV. Smile  Enjoy!
