Steelers sign FB Roosevelt Nix to 4-year deal thru 2021

Nix played in all 17 of Pittsburgh's regular season and postseason games, tallying five touches, six yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.

Nix was on the field for only 16.4 percent of Pittsburgh's offensive snaps, but took part in 69.2 percent of the team's special teams snaps, good for second-most on the roster
Leave him on special teams.

Not on offense.

why even bother signing him?  you can draft a fullback every year if you want and pay the minimum.  This tells me that there might not be all that much difference between the new OC and the old.
I fear Rollers is right. The standard is not sufficient to get this team to #7. Tomlin and his staff should get a lot more creative in my view. I agree the regular season record and performance is close to the top of the league but that should not be the goal.

This franchise should live and die for the next Lombardi or two or three. There's little honor or solace in never having a losing season and being a bridesmaid. That may work for Tomlin and his supporters but not for me and, from what I read, a lot of minority owners and fans. I am more than weary of one and out.
Folks - I was being facetious with the OP
