1992 Steelers 9 at Browns 17

A game filled with missed opportunities for the Steelers, who move the ball but can't get it into the end zone. Pittsburgh leads 6-3 at the end of the first half, but the score could easily be 20-3 if not for mistakes. Carnell Lake drops an INT with a clear path to the end zone, a TD pass to Stone is overturned by a holding penalty and a 31-yd Anderson FG attempt bounces off the left upright. The Browns make Pittsburgh pay in the 2nd half after a 90-yd drive capped by a Kevin Mack TD puts Cleveland up 10-6. Anderson hits a FG to make it 10-9, but Tomczak strikes right back with a bomb to a WIDE open Michael Jackson for a 47-yd TD to make it 17-9. On the ensuing drive, Cowher goes for it on 4th & 1 at the Steeler 40, but Barry Foster is stuffed for no gain. A late Merrill Hoge fumble finally seals Pittsburgh's fate. Thumbs up to Jay Korber for generously providing us with this game!
This game is NOT available on the site at the moment. The tape that is supposedly of this game is really of the game at Cleveland from 1991.
