He was hurt.

He usually called the defense, so maybe it's not coincidence.

They also need to have Haden shadow Green like he did JUlio for most of the game Sunday.

I was thinking the same thing during the game. 

But his replacement was Matakevich, IIRC, so I think it was coincidence. It was just very much Pittsburgh's day and very much NOT Atlanta's day. It happens.

Didn't see the game today - but V Williams D-stats are pretty decent

VW played a solid game today. There still is a flaw in the D when the OLB Jet up the field, none of either of Matakevich, Williams or Bostic have the speed to get in position to stop an off tackle run. Either that or the need to position one step towards the numbers.

That said, it appears Williams has the speed, but just doesn’t get there, which indicates a system flaw, not a lack of talent and physical Ttributes.

Speaking of our OLBs, saw both Watt and Dupree getting run up the arc a lot today. They should be coached that if they can’t get around the edge, they need to hold their ground and set the edge. The DL was rock solid today.

Williams and Burns are the weak links of this defense.
