Is Conner okay? Hopefully, there was no concussion. It's reasons like that which would make me hope Bell is coming back and invested in team success. We'll see.
I think he's fine, I haven't heard anything. Good long break to lick the wounds and heel. I saw Tomlin talking to him and he probably said "take the rest of the night off", you've done a great job.

I also think Tomlin wanted an extended look at both Ridley and Sameauls because if Leaving'On Bell comes back one of them will probably be cut.
Ridley used to be pretty solid in New England, but IMO he can't run with their jumbo sets.

Keep spreading them out.

If Bell does not show he still owes the Steelers a year as a franchise player. Unless they do a sign/trade him or let him go.

Apparently his plan was to sit out all year because he thought he would then be a free agent in 2019.

Like I said, he's just a dummy. He got hoodwinked by an amateur agent.

Art II thinks he will report. Have to wonder how much he's worked out. Dez White just tore his achillies, he's already done.

Bell if he's just been sitting on the couch eating Doritos, could meet the same fate.
Bell's a free agent regardless. All he has to do, according to ESPN, is play four-plus years, which he's already done. He owes the Steelers nothing even if he doesn't report by 4PM Tuesday; he just can't play this year.

I can't link with this computer, so Google "ESPN LeVeon Bell" and you should find the article I'm talking about.

If he doesn't report this year the steelers can tag him again.
That's right, with the transition tag. They can match any offer another team gives him, if they want to. They're not sure yet what the base price (the money they'll pay Bell if no other team negotiates with him, which is unlikely) of the tag will be.
The Steelers told Bell long ago that they would transition him for 2019 giving them right to match.

That could change obviously.

I think if they transition him they don't get a draft pick when he leaves.  No?
No compensation from the team who signs him, but maybe a comp pick.
The Steelers saved $14M this year.

Makes no difference.  They won't use cap money to go grab a starting QB.  Same with draft picks.  You mean they couldn't have given up a third for Apple?  Frustrating.
I'm not sure they need a starting QB right now. Ben is looking great and we have Dobbs and Rudolph in the wings.
i meant CB
Right now I think they need to look at a FA RB. Nothing against Connor but he may hit a wall near play-offs. CJ Anderson and Jamaal Charles are both available (on the cheap).
