This should not be a rebuilding team. Look how many high draft picks we have on this team, especially on D. Yes, we lost our starting QB, but so did NO and they kept rolling right along. NE was 11-5 with Matt Cassell under center. Other good teams lose their starting QB and keep rolling. Besides, even last year with Ben and AB, we didn't make the playoffs.
Our problems run deeper than just a few injuries. This team has underachieved for a long time, especially against inferior teams.

Well, if you only lose a QB, you can skate by, and who said Cassell a stiff anyway?
Now we are out RBs 1 & 3, our supposed number 2 WR just came back, starting fullback (key to our rushing attack) missed 6 weeks. #2 RB missed 3 game so far, our center is dinged and out starting left guard is in concussion protocol.
Since Fitzpatrick has been on board, the defense has been much better, and thats been with several front line players missing time.
Don’t get me wrong, this is by no means a championship team. IMO, considering what they’ve gone through in the last year, I’m surprised they are playing as well as they are.
