Full Version: This Steelers team is going nowhere

These guys look like the '98 Steelers to me... but with worse coaching. The talent on offense isn't even remotely as good as expected and the defense just gave up 220 yards rushing to a winless, completely one-dimensional team. This Steelers team is going nowhere. If they do somehow back into the playoffs, they will be one and done.

Martavis Bryant... you suck. You are what I thought you were. Talented but dumb, lazy and unprepared. Your concentration sucks. Your effort (or lack thereof) sucks. Not sure how many times you were targeted today, but it was a LOT and you managed just 2 catches. Ben hit you right in the hands for a sure TD on the first play of the game... and you dropped it. The offense is worse with you on the field. I'd love to see them sit your ass so they don't feel compelled to force it to you.

Ryan Shazier, your speed is truly impressive. But young man, you need to get back to wrapping up and stop trying to arm tackle.

Le'Veon Bell... a whopping 61 yards rushing today. Your longest play from scrimmage this season is 15 yards. Still wanna bitch about getting paid over $12 million this year?

Todd Haley... F%#$ you.

To top it off, you don't have the flippin' courage to do the simple, obvious right thing by respectfully standing during the National Anthem. Instead, you choose to hide in the locker room. Truly disgusting.

I'm embarrassed by the behavior of the NFL. Disgusted and offended by it, in fact. To the point I don't know if I can keep watching. The preservation of the greatness of the 70's Steelers via the "classic games" section is the ONLY reason I'm keeping this site going. I loved those teams and I loved that NFL. The state of the current NFL mostly disgusts me. I'd love to have the willpower to just walk away from it.

Maybe I'll feel differently next week. But right now, I have nothing but contempt for the NFL.
Team wasn't prepared. Also stop forcing the ball to Bryant. This is a reply of how gets too relaxed. AB was jumping up to make plays.

AB and Bell should be our go to guy on 3rd down. Play calling at the end was too conservative. If Mitchell gets that INT at the end of the game, Its over.

Coaching and time clock preserve sucked at the end. I would have called a time out at 2:36 in the 4th... We had all 3 >

I couldn't agree more. I may watch night games, but no more wasting beautiful Sundays on the shit-show. They aren't going anywhere. No heart, they are gutless.
Three wides

1 TE

1 RB

On Twitter it's called the CRASH Formation.

You could have just typed that.
The focus of this site is going back to classic games. The current NFL sucks. Sick of the lame rule changes, sick of the political correctness, sick of the NFL network, sick of ticket prices that make it nearly impossible for the average family of 4 to go to a game.

Most of all, disgusted by teams/coaches/players/owners "uniting" to disrespect the country in the name of... what? No. Uh-uh. No way. I'm done with you knuckleheads. Thanks for sucking the fun out of a once truly great sport.

P.S. -- The No Fun League finally agrees to allow end zone celebrations again and what does Odell Beckham, Jr. do? Pretends to urinate like a dog. F-ing moron...  Eyes
I've been thinking about this for awhile and I may be a bit pissed right now but I think I'm done for a while.

These knuckleheads don't even know what they're protesting but guess what, neither do I?

I get it, they're candidate lost the WH, but guess what, they'll be other elections. Instead of tearing everything down get registered and vote. I bet 40% of the malcontents don't even vote.
I have stated here many times I am way less a fan of a particular year’s team so much as a die hard fan of, “The Steelers”, the heritage and flat out class of the organization.  The frickin’, self-centered, selfish players on this 2017 team and that moronic, OXYGEN THIEF, Mike Tomlin undid all of it for me today.  What a bunch of pukes.  To let your team mate who fought in combat for your sorry a$#%^&&’s stand with honor for his flag and country all by himself while they pouted in the shadows like the cowards they are should never be forgiven by anyone who calls themselves a Steeler fan.  Look, I served 21 years and like most veterans will always state that anyone has the right to protest and even as despicable as it is to me - to burn the very flag I love and honor - I truly support that right.  You have to if you believe in the Constitution that so many have defended.  Having a right however, does not mean you have to exercise it. Life is about making choices.  Easy choices and difficult choices.  Today, one member, JUST ONE member of the Steelers made an easy choice in alignment with his values and his choice not to disrespect, not just his fellow veterans and combat casualties, but the tens of millions of Americans who appreciate the life they enjoy and love their nation without shame, because there is NO shame in being an American.  Then you have the rest of the Steelers who also made an easy decision - the decision of a coward, to go with the flow, be cool, be rebellious. Shame on these ungrateful, millionaire, pansy-ass, pond scum.  Shame on every last one of them. I no longer give one rip about the 2017 Steelers and how they play or whether they win a championship or not.  Maybe the 2018 Team can regain my respect - time will tell.

3-1 at the quarter post. Yeah, these guys suck. Almost 200 yards rushing the ball against the Ravens at M&T? Absolutely horrible. How about that abysmal 10 minutes of additional possession time? + 1 in turnovers? Pathetic.

Seriously, they have their counter traps clicking, and when they do, they are unstoppable. It is obvious they are focusing on running the ball, which you are going to need down the stretch. The passing game will eventually  come along as they allocate more practice time to polish it.

As for the D, this is the best D we’ve fielded in over 10 years. It’s extremely young, and therefore can get gashed from time to time, but look out as the season wears on.

As discusted as I am with the NFL, I’m not so sure I want to miss one of the best put together Steeler teams in a decade. My advice is step back and take a longer view of what is going on with this team, and enjoy the ride.
