An inartistic but nonetheless satisfying victory for Pittsburgh. Turnovers plague the Steelers (who turn the ball over a league-high 52 times in 1979 yet amazingly manage to lead the NFL in scoring with 416 points) and give the Cards repeated opportunities deep in Pittsburgh territory. Things go from bad to worse when Bradshaw, writhing in pain, is taken off the field on stretcher in first half with what appears to be a season-ending leg injury. Fortunately, St. Louis kicker Steve Little leaves 5 points on the field with a missed FG and two missed PAT's and Bradshaw is able to return to lead Pittsburgh's offense to 17 points in the 4th quarter, spearheaded by the hard running and receiving of Rocky Bleier, to pull out a remarkably methodical come-from-behind win.

Kinda surreal to see Chuck Noll and Bud Wilkinson coaching against each other.
