I say he won't get 20 snaps.

I only wish for the best for this young man. Perhaps the offense can get some of the wrinkles ironed out. Do they practice during the bye week or not?

The practiced yesterday, but now are off for the rest of the week.

If 2014, Week 10 Martavis shows up (4 rec / 143 / 1) - magically - it can only be a positive for the team.

Do I think that's going to happen?  No.  Do I think his head will swell to hyper-ego proportions if it does?  Yes.

Do I think he's a 1-trick, fly pattern pony who DB's have the book on as they gingerly lead him out of bounds?  Yes.

Ben again today pleads for more Bryant to the media.

I'll listen to the football player.

It was during his gathering at his locker today.

Chuck, if you go to Steelers.re are probably 3-4 videos  of Ben and the talking heads discussing it.

iI saw the interview with Ben saying he would like Bryant to have ‘ a lot of them” with regard to ‘bryant scoring touchdowns.

Ever heard the the saying, “actions are louder than words”?

Bryant also states he is bought in. Yeah, I heard the words, but I’m not seeing it on the field, out of either.

That's what happens when you constantly shuffle the deck.

The Christmas game should have shown ANYONE who pays attention to this team, where the problem lies on offense.

And it's not the players. When you watch this offense on the NFL's All 22 service? It looks like a high school setup when compared to the rest of the league.

I do and it doesn’t. For what this is worth, which ain’t much, to me it looks like a lot of bad execution and too many hair pulling play calls. I’ll also agree, having fullbacks, and linemen out on passing patterns is a bit strange, but St. Belichek has been doing this kind of crap for years, and he’s a consensus genius.

Btw, I heard an interesting stat yesterday. In the years when the Steelers went to the SuperBowl in the Roethlisberger years, how many 300+ Passing yards games out of those 61 did Ben have?

He had exactly 7. The bottom line is, the winning formula has been a productive running game with a stout defense, which is exactly what we have now.

RE: Bryant wants out? - Crash - 11-03-2017

No, actually the proven method was throwing EARLY, vertical EARLY, getting leads, then running the ball.

It's not about yards, it's about WHEN.

Passing YARDS only became a factor when Haley showed up. That's what sheep use to defend his garbage system.

RE: Bryant wants out? - Chucktownsteeler - 11-03-2017

Passing yards don't always equate to success. At time QBs with fantastic stats are garnering them in garbage time, when the defense is in "prevent".

What did the emperor say" "Stats are for the loosing team".

Exactly!

And Ben had thrown for MORE of those in the first 3 years with Haley, than he did, in the first 8 years of his career without him.

What I call "Philip Rivers yards".  Because that's all Rivers does.
