Pretty good day for the steelers even if they didn't play - Rollers - 11-06-2017

Both Baltimore and Cincy lost.  That's a good day

I'll certainly take it.  Pi_bigsmile  There's no downside to winning a weak division.

Agreed.   This gives us room for the inevitable "playing down and losing to a team we should dominate" game that is sure to come.

The Steelers should have an easy win against the colts this week. Will they? Probably not with - Toad in control...

The second half should be very interesting. I only hope - ( looking at the games I posted ) We can lose 2 more. If the Steelers play down to competition

Maybe they can prove everyone wrong around the league and show up in the playoffs like what happened back in 2005.

For ONCE week gained during the bye. LOL

Speaking of what you do when the Steelers aren’t playing, anybody check out the kid in Green Bay? True, not Rodgers, but we’d better not take Green Bay lightly. That offense is still potent, unlike some.... that shall go nameless...

If anything they are handcuffing Hundley too much.

McCarthy apparently had NO SAY, in the current QB situation in Green Bay. Apparently this is the GM's call.

Wonder what's going to happen in the future? To sandbag a SB winning Coach like that?

Also rumors today floating that Andrew Luck's career could be over. Irsay apparently told Dungy he believes the injury is "in Andrew's head at this point". That sounds like a mess waiting to happen also.

Another in a long bloody trail...I’ve never seen a franchise try to avoid good offensive linemen like the Colts...well the early New Browns,  and the the 2007-2012 Steelers come to mind as well....

I agree with  your point of view with Huntley, but I expect the handcuffs will be off by the time we play them. He’s going to be a handful.

So do I. Prime time game, what do you have to lose at that point?

Kinda pissed that barring a Super Bowl this may very well be the last time Ben and Rodgers have a chance to go at it.

I really like the Packers offensive setup. They do with Rodgers what we've should have done for Ben since 2012: Keep the subbing to a minimum. That's the ONLY time Haley's offense has worked on the rare occasions since he's been here.

I’m not so sure Ben is as accurate or has the arm as Rogers. Rogers doesn’t seem to need receivers “college open” as Ben prefers. It’s a much more precise passing attack. I’m not so sure they could be interchangeable in that offense and get the same results. I will agree the Green Bay Offense is one emulate if you have the parts. As you have mentioned, guys like Eli Rogers, Ju-Ju, and AB would tear it up in an offense like that.

RE: Pretty good day for the steelers even if they didn't play - Crash - 11-12-2017

It's very precise. That's what makes Rodgers click. He knows EXACTLY who will be on the field, and when.

Ben does not, except for #84 and #81. The other pass catchers? Their snaps can be 3 or 30 on any given week.

I would JuJu, Bryant, and Brown on the field, and leave them alone.

JuJu would be even more dangerous having Brown and Bryant (and not Roosevelt freaking Nix) flying down field.

What do you think about that Grier kid, qb at WVU?

RE: Pretty good day for the steelers even if they didn't play - Crash - 11-12-2017

I'm not real high on any QB in this class except for Darnold from USC.

Bunch of names but I don't see blue chippers except for Sam.

I’m atching WVU vs Kansas right now on espn2 and he’s looking pretty good. Leading the league is TDS. I like Darnold too, but he’s got a snowball’s chance to land in the Burgh, unless he’s playing for the Browns...
