NFL.com (in particular David Carr  Sick ) think the Steelers should go after Jimmy G in the off season.

Thoughts?

I don't have any particular feeling for or against (it's currently fantasyland.  Maybe JG will be Aaron Rogers backup where the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio meet.   Pi_nervous )

While Garoppolo is a below-average starter (much like the aforementioned David Carr), he'd be a better backup than Mason Rudolph.

If Carr was suggesting Jimmy G as a potential starter or mid-term solution, well... no. Draft somebody.

At this point in time I think the starter next year is either Ben, MR, or Haskins. I don't look for any big moves or trades.
