A horrible offensive game gives us the Jags at home.

Jaggoffs game today was horrible... Every play was a pass to the back in the flat or a Quarterback run... This game sucked. Steelers will be slow out the gate but eventually win. The only thing that can stop us is Defense or Coaching

The Bills did a great job on stopping the run.  We are 28th against the run in the NFL.  Fournette could have 100 yards by the end of the fist half.  Hopefully we stop them from scoring and at least force Bortles to try and pass a little in the red zone.  We are 30th against the pass so might be careful about what you wish for.  I have no clue what the hell happened to our defense but they are horrible

Where are you getting your stats, rollers? We're 5th against the pass and 10th against the run.

for some reason they listed the worst as number 1 and the best as 32. Who does that?

need to stop the run. Man to man and let the QB try and beat you, he's awful. We should be able to take this team

Jeff Triplett costs the Chiefs a playoff game with his quick whistle, and then he retired today.

Seems fitting. He's been trash for almost 20 years. At least he went out the same way he came in, fucking things up.

Yeah that non fumble was huge.  Refs seem to be getting worse not better.  He called a garbage game and could care less.  I'm betting he's probably relieved it's all over.  He got his gift game and now exits.  What does he care?

At the end of the Jaggoffs game > There's no way that's an interception at the end. Id say if that's a catch >  Then the Steeler's Catch from the Pats game should have counted. Ref's totally blew this call by far.

yanno if you read the Bengals discussion board they think the Steelers are the darlings of the NFL and the dirtiest team in the world. Ridiculous, because it's like the NFL woke up one morning in the early 70's and said, yanno what? We need to pimp a team from a small market city to be the darlings of the NFL. No one cared about the Steelers before they started winning everything. No one. Same with the Pens. Last year they were the evil empire when for decades no one cared about them. It's the winning. I don't believe the pats are favored by the refs or the NFL. There's no conspiracy. You can say what you want about the non catch but the fact is if he just puts the ball into his gut and turns up he gets in. It bobbled at the end and that was the issue. We don't have the players or coaches that can beat the Pats right now. That's just the way it is. Belichick owns us over and over. We should have won that game in Pittsburgh but we found a way to screw it up yet again. Beat the Patriots and there's no issue Beat a dog ass team like the Bears and we're playing at home for the entire playoffs. I hate it when we act like the loser Bengal fans. No one cares about the Bengals cause they suck. No one cares about the Browns cause they suck. So how about we get by this first game and then beat the damn Patriots? Just my thoughts

Something just occurred to me:

In reading multiple opines that, if the Steelers win the SB, that it would be Ben's "ride off into the sunset" - or he's merely going to end his career regardless....

IF either of those occur - this Sunday is very possibly Big Ben's final game at Hines Field.....

Was he the official involved in the Thanksgiving day coin flip fiasco a decade or so back?

No, that was Phil Luckett. But Triplett is fully capable of such a blunder...  Pi_dunno

I think Artie went backwards this year. Really do.  Wouldn't be a huge loss

Been watching clips of the Jags defense. They are VERY good. The kind of D I wish we had. Man if they had a QB that could be consistent that would be a great team. We should beat this team but in my mind's eye I'm seeing those three runs on our first series for like 5 yards. Dunno

Run the ball, Run the ball, Run the ball... Ben > 3 step drop back quick passes. The longer he stays out there > the more chance of him getting hurt.

they will be ready for us to run the ball.  I think this defense is capable of shutting us down
