Munchak turns down second interview with Cards

.

I wonder if he has another offer? Or maybe stay with the Steelers, which would be cool...

I'd like to see him stay with the Steelers and get promoted to the position Russ Grimm had. I can't remember the exact title.

That or replace Haley altogether.

Grimm's title was Assistant Head Coach, I think.

Correct, they need to promote Munchak to that position. Promote Randy Fitchner to OC.

Hines Ward to be WR coach. I'd like to see a new RB coach myself.

Tomlin announced all defensive coaches safe and no changes needed.

Mike Munchak says he'll stay with Steelers

http://www.pennlive.com/steelers/index.s...rs_ol.html

PITTSBURGH -- Mike Munchak is staying with the Steelers.

It was reported earlier in the day Wednesday that Pittsburgh's offensive line coach had declined a second interview with the Arizona Cardinals for the head coaching vacancy.

Later in the same day it was announced that offensive coordinator Todd Haley would not have his contract renewed and reported by ESPN that quarterbacks coach Randy Fichtner was expected be promoted in Haley's place.

Munchak did take an interview with the Cardinals during Pittsburgh's playoff bye week, but Mike Tomlin had said Tuesday that he didn't know what, if anything else, was happening between his offensive line coach and Arizona.

In the four years since Munchak joined the Steelers staff, Ben Roethlisberger has had the three least-sacked seasons of his 14-year NFL career.
