This peaked my interest, listed below are Tomlin's #1 picks:

2007 - Lawrence Timmons - LB - Defense
2008 - Rashard Mendenhall - RB - Offense
2009 - Evander "Ziggy" Hood - DT - Defense
2010 - Maurkice Pouncey - C - Offense
2011 - Cameron Heyward - DE - Defense
2012 - David DeCastro - G- Offense
2013 - Jarvis Jones - LB - Defense
2014 - Ryan Shazier - LB - Defense
2015 - Bud DuPree - LB Defense
2016 - Artie Burns - CB - Defense
2017 - T.J. Watt - LB Defense

72% of the last 11 #1 draft picks have been defense (including the last 5 in a row). This is only round 1. Yet the offense is head and shoulders over the defense. I know that has a lot to do with Ben. Not sure what the stats mean big-picture wise. They can't all suck at the same time. Is it coaching or player development, or a little bit of both? Is the league just to skewed to offense that defense is really immaterial? What do Porter, Jerry O, Lake, etc. bring to the table, coaching wise? Yes, they all had good to great careers with the Steelers, but coaching that does not make one.

Dilly - Dilly!

Pray for 50!

The talent is there.

The SCHEME sucks.

One skill position on offense in 11 number one picks.

And people have the nerve to blame Ben when the defense shits the bed.
