Hopefully nothing serious. I hope he's just taking the time to realize Tomlin's standard is just not enough.

well opinions are just that opinions.  negative "waves" have never been a concern of mine.  Many of us ARE tired of the Tomlin era.  I became that way this year seeing the implosion of the defense with an offense that was able to score all those points.  but it's just an opinion.  no clue how negative "waves" would cause anyone to leave.  2 superbowls in 38 years.  Management far more concerned with "continuity" than competing effectively for a superbowl.  So yeah there are negative waves I guess.  there were some positive ones as well but you need to do what you need to

Opinions can be negative, or positive. The balance here is decidedly negative.

and?  anyone that is happy with the direction of this team right now is out of sync with the expectations of Steeler football.  Tomlin has proven over and over he is not the guy to build this team where it needs to go.  That's my "opinion"  You have a different opinion make it known?  But I get it .    Hope you find someplace to comment

I don't think he'll be back.  He's pretty much convinced we all hate Tomlin for no good reason.  Actually I think if he had stronger coaches around him he could probably play cheer leader, stay out of the way and maybe succeed.  Anyway I think he didn't like being taken to task by so many.  see ya dbs

Maybe I take things less personally but I don't think the group has been overly unfair to anyone. I enjoy a good back and forth. I think most here do and that's why we comment. DB expresses his positions quite well. I hope he will continue to do so.

For what it's worth, I tend to agree with Dave. Way too negative around here considering how ridiculously successful the Steelers have been under Tomlin. Yes, I'm disappointed with how the season ended. Every year, we seem to lose a key player that brings us down, whether it's Bell or Brown or Shazier. We don't seem to be able to adjust to those kinds of blows. Meanwhile, the Eagles lose their franchise QB and still find a way to win it all. We often play "down" to competition. Or at least, it seems like it. Very frustrating.

But barring multiple disastrous sub-.500 seasons, Tomlin isn't going anywhere. He might not be the GOAT... but I view him as damn good. And I know from previous experience he's capable of taking a team to the Promised Land. So I'm gonna ride his bandwagon and hope for the best. He's got 2-3 years with Ben to get it down. The clock is ticking. I think he can do it. If he doesn't, you guys can all tell me how stupid I am after Ben retires with only two rings. But if he DOES IT... you all can STFU. Forever.  Laugh
