1986 Steelers 0 at Seahawks 30
The Steelers spend almost the entire game in their own territory, advancing to the Seattle 37 on their first possession but failing to cross midfield again until midway through the 4th quarter with Seattle leading 23-0. Mark Malone completes only 9 of 27 for 79 yds and 3 INTs as the Steelers are held to 146 total yds, lose 2 fumbles and convert just 2 of 14 on 3rd-down. Thanks to Matthew Simon for providing us with this game. |

For about ten minutes late in the third quarter (1:42 to 1:52 on the video), there's no picture due to network technical difficulties. At one point, NBC sent viewers of this game to the Raiders-Broncos game, but that part is cut from the video we have except for a brief shot right when the switch was made.

My brother went to this game with a friend of ours who lived in Seattle.
The next week we traveled to the Steelers 21-10 loss to Denver. Not a good start to that season for any of us. |

I guess it worked out because I turned my attention away from football and toward guitar/music for a few years. Turned out to be a good career move for me. ![]() |
