1985 Steelers 7 at Browns 17 MNF

A pair of Mark Malone INTs in the 4th-quarter seal a frustrating 17-7 Monday night loss in the Dawg Pound. The Browns lead 10-0 after 3 quarters, but a nifty 38-yd punt return by Louis Lipps sets Pittsburgh up at the Cleveland 15 early in the 4th quarter and in a rare bright spot, Malone immediately hits Stallworth for a TD to pull the Steelers within 10-7. The Steelers have the ball and a chance to take the lead late, but backup LB Curtis Weathers sacks Malone at the Steeler 9-yd line and then intercepts him on the next play to set up the clinching score, a 21-yd burst by Earnest Byner with 2:37 remaining. Malone caps a miserable 18-of-45 performance with another INT in the final seconds. Thanks to Jay Korber for providing us with this game!

The segment Pavlov refers to is a look at famous fights in the history of the Steelers-Browns rivalry. Included are a sitdown interview with noted combatants Doug Dieken and Jack Lambert, plus footage from fights in 1968 and 1983, both in Cleveland.

At halftime, Joe Namath interviews Bernie Kosar, with comments from Browns owner Art Modell and coach Marty Schottenheimer. Plus, an ABC News Business Brief.

(For those of you who like old commercials, there's a cute one for Jeopardy with Alex Trebek, then only in its second season of syndication, believe it or not.)
