I feel like we really need a TD here to prevent a loss.

Big Ben and AB just aren't on the same page. Forcing it to him. Maybe AB should've shown up for the Monday meeting?

Tomlin should be fired if they lose. Totally undisciplined.

A team filled with too many selfish, undisciplined babies.

Agreed. Switzer. Best returner we've had in quite a while.

How much you want to bet we'll hear "We had breakdowns in communication" again? Any takers?

That said, enough complaining for the day. We got a win, and a win on the road at that. Count your blessings. On to the Ravens.

Glad to get the victory, But same old Tomlin... Steelers played a beautiful game first half. The bucks made their second half adjustments, But the Steelers?????

Typical Tomlin. No adjustments. Defense got burned. Fitzmagget was throwing for the stars to the back of the end zone, while he was almost sacked. Still end result > touchdown.

This defense will not be good enough this year. I'm sorry but that's my feeling. Happy to get the win tonight though -

Here's a first for you: My dad was so disgusted at the immaturity and porousness of the defense that he turned the game off for good with the Steelers LEADING 23-10 and going in for thirty. We watched the Pirates beat the Cubs instead, then switched to a movie.

It comes down to this: As awful as the roughing the passer rules are these days, they're still on the books. If the league wants quarterbacks to have all day in the pocket to complete passes, the defense needs to let them have it, then tackle the catch if they can. Six or seven fifteen-yard penalties for roughing the passer do no one any good whatsoever. Of course, this team can't tackle catches either, so they're really in a mess. Yes, they won, but from reading about the game later it seems more like the Bucs ran out of possessions than anything else. The offense was held scoreless in the second half, while Fitzpatrick found his rhythm and tore the defense to pieces. One day soon, we won't have thirty points in the bank, and the results of play like this are going to be disastrous. A new punter and a kick in the ass for Boswell might not hurt either.

Honestly, I think we (meaning my dad) are close to bailing on this team. It didn't help that I got into an argument with him trying to defend the defensive numbskulls, which made him even madder. But even before that, the Bell and Brown drama, the constant criticism being leveled from all sides against the team, whether justified or not, and maybe even some leftover disgust from last year's playoff loss have made watching the team less fun. Add that to the health problems we've both had, and it just seems like watching the Steelers is beginning to be a waste of time better spent doing things that are more enjoyable, and that goes for both of us. I've criticized people on this site for expressing similar feelings, but now I'm beginning to see where they're coming from, and that's not a good feeling for someone who's practically lived and died with the Steelers since the day he was born (January 13, 1975, the day after Super Bowl IX).

We haven't bailed for good yet, but it won't take much more.
