With the Eagles losing their top running back " Ajayi", would they continue talks with the Steelers now for Bell?

Just a guess in the dark... > >   Your thoughts -

any deal would have to be prefaced with Bell and the team he's being traded to coming to an agreement on that huge contract he wants.  So the team that takes him would have to have the cap space and the desire to get him. I don't see much of a chance on that at all

Running backs just aren't that valuable in today's NFL. Bell isn't going to get what he's after.

@ $855,000 a week he’s blowing by not showing up isn’t helping his  bank balance much. Talk about biting your nose in spite of your face....What a dufus.

No doubt a rare talent, but not the only talent. At this point, if he wants to come in a play a bit, no prob, but I sure wouldn’t keep him around long enough to accrue another year by cutting him at the 11th hour right before he qualifies.

Even if he lands within our division, he’s not going to make that much of an impact, other than absorbing a rather large amount of their available cap space.

Nothing can be done until Bell signs. With the short shelf life of an NFL RB he has already lost more money than he could ever hope to recoup. I guess he missed Econ 101 at MSU.

The Steelers offered him a fantastic deal and he balked.

Remember Barry Foster? All that talent, and then... he just lost the will to play. He had enough money and just didn't want to work that hard anymore.

Just tryin' to figure out the thinking here. Maybe he's happy to have all this free time and still get paid at least $8.5M when he comes back in week 7?

Who knows? He's apparently not losing sleep while he's losing money.

Yes, I remember Barrelin' Barry Foster. Remember his special team faux paux against the 49ers (I think). One on the Steelers all-time RBs, although his tenure was brief. Dude wad tough. I seem to remember a severe ankle injury also may have lead tot he shortening of his career. One of my favorites, no doubt.

I believe he is/ was a policeman in Arkansas.
