After a week off The Steelers find themselves in first place.  Every division team lost.

With Cleveland and the Rat-birds up next, these are all definitely needed wins now.

Cleveland and the Bungholes are done. The north will come down to either the Steelers or the rats. Next 2 games are HUGE.

we will not beat the ravens. cleveland seems to be within our ability to defeat. I don't see a playoff run this year at all. This division could be one of the worst in football thisyear

Steelers had 2 weeks to rest players. Plus they know the Ravens new offense a little better.

Id say if they cant win, the Season will be all but over, - Division game and dropping 2 games to the Rats all but seals it.

Barring no catastrophic failure by Baltimore through the season.

How have the steelers done after a "rest"?  We have to beat the Browns first and even that was beyond the team's ability the last time and the Browns are playing better ball.  This team will be up and down all year.  I don't see a playoff this year for the STeelers.  But I've been wrong before.

They will have had a solid week of Tomlin preparing them for a huge Divisional Game.  Expect them to be well prepared, display razor sharp execution and effective adjustments on the fly to counter the Browns if they are playing well.

OK.  NEVER MIND...JUST KIDDING!!!

I do however expect that the Patty-Cake Crowd will have utilized their extra preparation time choreographing some new and exciting celebration dances, football birthings and such.  You know, the kinds of things players playing for, a non, "Coaches Coach" would even think of engaging in as they are mounting serious playoff runs and concentrating on that boring thing called football.

Well, razor sharp execution didn’t exactly  happen out of the gate, not to mention way too many gaffes (failure to cover a free kick springs to mind) along the way...

True it’s a W in the column, but do you really think not covering a free kick is going to cut it in the post season? I don’t get it.

No offense here, but I’m going go out on a limb here and state that is not championship level football.

Next week should tell us a lot about the 2018 Steelers. It’s going to be a war for sure. Since the Ravens lost today, it’s not a must win scenario, and I’m really curious to see if they have the guts to make the kill.

I remember when I was in high school and the coaches covered how to handle a free kick.  We knew that you had to cover it.  The Steelers?  not so much.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not wearing any rose-colored glasses. The free kick "gaffe" was inexcusable.

And if we get off to a slow start against New England or KC like we did today, we may never catch up.

That said, there has been some improvement, particularly on the defensive end. We've given up 17, 21, and 18, including against the Bengals and Falcons who both can put up points.

I'm still not sold on the Steelers as championship material. I still think Tomlin has to do a better job preparing the team and making sure they know the details that win and lose games.

That said, they are better as a team than they were earlier on. Which is more than can be said for say...the Browns.

I have zero confidence we go to Baltimore and beat the Ravens.  We came up big against two division foes that we had to beat to stay in it and that's a good thing.  Edmunds had a horrible game yesterday.  That number one pick is just inexcusable.  Haden came up big even if he had a couple penalties.  He looks healthy now and is playing really well.  But this was the Browns and the QB was horrible.  Can't understand how they give up that late TD.  Guess the game was in the bag at that point and it didn't really matter.  Dupree is playing MUCH better lately.  I mean it's like night and day from last year.  Only took what, four year?  but I'll take it if he keeps getting better.  Watt looks better but I want to see him have a game like that against the Ravens.  Well onward and upward!!!!  YOu are correct though they are playing better as a unit.
