Now we're on the outside looking in trying to get a bye, and we've got San Diego, New Orleans, and New England coming up. Our destiny is in our hands for a first round bye if we run the table, but all chances for homefield throughout were just wiped out. Terrible game.

The Conner fumble was a turning point. But, I'll give him a bit of credit since he played full out on the play. Just maybe a bit too aggressive and that resulted in the fumble. Grimble should be red faced after a DB clocks him and created the touch back. That fumble was equally costly today but there was enough time to recover.

The final play was hard to understand. It looked like a fire drill. Stupid loss. Penalties and turnovers. Way too many for a quality team. Tomlin has not gotten that fixed all year. It can be a killer in the playoffs.

I expected at least one loss in these past three games, and possibly two. So in that respect, coming out 2-1 is not bad. It hurts though when you give away a game like this. Our run defense is a concern at this point. We shored up things in the second half last week, but this week was awful. Two weeks in a row when our run defense was sieve.

As for the coming weeks, can't take any wins for granted...period.

If we play our best, we can play with and beat anyone in the league. When we play like we did today, we can lose to anyone.

There is only one team left on the schedule that I think would be close to unwinnable, and that's New Orleans. If we run the table, we're Super Bowl contenders assuming we can get the second seed.

But I seriously think the team that gets the first seed in the AFC goes to the big one. Barring upsets, as a second or third seed, the Steelers would have to face the Chiefs and the Patriots again to get to the Super Bowl. And if San Diego gets thrown into the mix for the wildcard for facing the third seed, it gets that much tougher. And of course, as a third seed, the path is even tougher as you'd face KC and NE on the road.

Pouncey fucked up the last play with a horrid snap. Brown was also grabbled on INT #1, not a shock to me though, you rarely get those flags in Denver late in games. I saw it first hand living in Denver for 35 years.

Why did James Washington dive? All he has to do is run and he waltz's into the endzone. Now you guys know why I was hoping they would go after Amari Cooper. If Brown doesn't make a splash play early in games he mails it in, and he pouts. Best WR in the NFL? He's not even the best WR on his own team right now.

Grimble? He should be cut tomorrow. He admitted he would have scored had he cut inside but he wanted to truck the guy.

Plenty of blame to go around. We are becoming to cute. What was the Brown pass early in the game for? Killed momentum on an important early drive. Blocked FG, do the coaches not watch film of games of upcoming opponents, Grimble - This was huge, he could have walked in if he makes the inside cut. We're a dumb team right now. Washington??? I have no idea why we trot this guy out there every week. He's either completely lost or in over his head. The dive for the ball was pathetic. Connor - I just don't know, I haven't seen hands like this since Dwight Stone. He's not sneaking up on anyone, anymore. 25 rushed in 2 weeks, why? The biggest debacle though was the last play. Even with all the mistakes and turnovers we were poised to send the game into over-time. What the fuck was Ben thinking? 

And the defense - why do we never get any turn-overs????
