"Good Enough Is Good Enough." Works great when your season aspiration every year is earning a, "Participation Trophy." "Just give me a six-pack and 30 minutes to rest and lets go out and play 'em again!" - Jack Lambert |

Primary reason I can't stomach his pressers. |

An NFL playoff berth is NOT a mere participation trophy. If the Steelers get one, they will have earned it, even with their recent string of bad play and regardless of what they do with it once they get it. You've all followed football for too long not to know this. Frustration and anger is all well and good, but talk like this means that your own right to complain and bitch means more to you than the health of the Steeler franchise.

The Steelers are used by other teams to tune up for the real competition coming from a team that has a decent head coach. Simply making the playoffs then exiting quickly is pure garbage. It's for the teams that never should have been there in the first place. Only made because so many make it now. but if you're happy with that then you should have really enjoyed the last few years. This team doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs. The Patriots own the Steelers. The standard with this team since Noll has always been about winning it all. yeah you have to get into the playoffs to have a shot. last couple of years doesn't seem to be much of a shot for this team.

That said, Tomlin is clearly feeling pressure right now and I thought it was obvious in this press conference. He is not bigger than the Steelers, and he knows it. This was an embarrassing, humbling, absolutely terrible loss for the Steelers, it falls squarely on HIS shoulders (along with the previous two losses in this terrible streak) and IMO Tomlin is finally starting to feel the squeeze. When even Rocky Bleier turns on you, you'd better check yourself. Very interested to see what happens this week. Beat the Patriots and all is forgiven, at least temporarily. Lose, and Tomlin has problems. Lose badly, and Tomlin has BIG problems. Butler will probably end up being the fall guy; odds of Butler getting the ax are much greater than Tomlin being shown the door. But if this team continues its collapse over the next 3 weeks, I believe Tomlin is in jeopardy. |

FWIW RJ Umberger, former NHL Player and Pittsburgh native also said yesterday that HE had the same exact issues with old and outdated X-ray machines in arenas during games because they are basically only used to X-ray bone.
Don't care what Bleier says until it's confirmed that he turns down a free ticket to a playoff game from the Steelers organization where he gets to parade himself in front of the fans because he (And Franco too) still think they are relevant to the current Steelers team. |

Stan Savran @StanLoveTheShow
14m #Chargers team doc says Oakland Xray facility "awful". OK, but still question holding #Ben out for so long. Then again, defense gave back the lead he gave them. What's new on PK tryouts? @gerrydulac 1. @mattmurray_30 back. When will he start? @JoshYohe_PGH from Chicago 1220. |

So former players shouldn't go to playoff games? A sense of history is what sets the Steelers apart from a lot of other organizations. A lot of players have mentioned how nice it is that former players visit the practice facilities and locker rooms on a regular basis.

But if he's DONE with the team like he claims? He's also DONE getting the "perks" from the organization as well. |
