Please explain to me where being nice to our kicker, to keep him around more then any team would, can benefit the Steelers?

I mean, I like Boswell > Nice guy, but having faith in him until he fails the Steelers on an important game like if we get to the playoffs?

That's like keeping a time bomb until the day it decides to go off...  I'm sure a lot of you may disagree with me.

But I see this as screw up waiting to end our season.

I think Boz gets this straightened out. He was a pro-bowl kicker last year and will be fine. That 48-yarder yesterday may just be what the doctor ordered. Anyway, Tomlin is backing him 100%, so I doubt he's going anywhere this year.

He'll be fine, plus if you are an unemployed kicker right now there may be a reason.

I didn't say it Tomlin did.

Plus different position altogether.

I'm glad Samuels did good, but he missed a few blitz pick-ups, no? I hope he doesn't get Ben killed next time. The pats also don't have the best run defense either, so let's not give the ROY to #38, just yet. Let's see if he can string a few games together first. Good test for the rook next week against the Saints defense. Maybe the best we've played against yet this year.

The Chargers went out and signed a RB, no?

I agree - how could he not still have that incredibly solid foundation lying just below the surface, hopefully ready to re-emerge.  He was just too skilled to dispose of just yet.
