It's a small body of work to paint with a broad brush, but after year 1 it shows there was quite a bit of talent left at S after Edmunds was selected. Who knows long term, but I would have preferred Bates or James over Edmunds. Of course hind sight is 20-20. A few drafts from last year had Tomlin completely in love with Bates, not sure what happened. Derwin James was stellar with the Chargers as well. Edmunds may or may not pan out, but it appears he is a stretch to say the least at #1 round.

Stretch? He's a total bust for a round 1. No one in the entire NFL had him pegged higher than round 3. Only our stellar boys

"Stretch to say the least".

The fact that they could have had Bates or James makes me vomit in my mouth. Especially James. He may be the 2nd coming or Troy.

Edmunds may pan out, nobody knows for sure, but they made a HUGE mistake passing on these 2 aforementioned.
