What a great game the NFC Championship was. So refreshing to see solid DEFENSE being played. Didn't necessarily expect a defensive slugfest, but happy that's what we got. Glad the Rams won, too.

Let's hope the refs make such incredibly incompetent calls against the Pats today. I have no confidence that Goff will beat the Pats should it come to that.

My thoughts, exactly... I was hoping it would be the Saints

The PI non-call was definitely bad.

Let's hope the Chiefs get it together soon. So far, Andy Reid is who we thought he was.

Looks like the Pats strategy is to suck the life out of the ball for 40 minutes to keep the Chiefs off the field. Amazing. Strategy. Wish our coaches would come up with that kind of concept.

At the half: 42 plays to 16. Pats TOP: 21 minutes +. Looks like another Patriot Super Bowl. Amazing what you can do with far less talent than the Steelers have.

kind of neat how a well coached team like the Pats works. Wish we had coaching like that. Course the Pats picking near the top of the draft every year probably is the reason.

To see them call that 15 yarder on the Chiefs after seeing the cheap shots Ben has taken over the years makes me sick.

The Saints got away with numerous face-masks that were not called, including one that would have given them 1st and goal at the 1 yard line when they were down three points.

But no one mentions that one.

No kidding. Not to mention, Mahomes had one EXACTLY like that (a narrow miss that looked like contact to his head could've been made but clearly wasn't upon replay) that WAS NOT called.

Officiating in general is terrible. It was better in the Chiefs/Pats game than in the Rams/Saints game.

During the game, I seem to recall Romo saying that the Patriots were only called for 5 PI calls all regular season. Is that possible???

From what I've read it's things like doing your homework on each individual referee crew and what they call and don't, and teaching proper technique (if a guys is slowing down, slow down start looking for the ball because it's probably underthrown. The guy keeps sprinting, think over the top, back-shoulder)

And then of course refs somehow conveniently fail to see it even when the Pats do commit penalties. Maybe having proper technique most of the game lets them get away with the times they fail.
