Im sorry, but some of these guys don't belong in this Early... I mean Champ Bailey? Ty Law? WTH? And before Faneca...

Something doesn't sound rite with these selections... Is the Hall becoming the new NFL Ways of decision?

Ed Bouchette's presentation was awful.

Don't believe me? Take a watch.

Pretty soon the Mediocre Instagram Queens will be getting in on first ballot. It's not all based on proven performance any more. AKA Ty Law,,WTF???

Troy should get in next year and take Faneca with him.

Being completely honest, I don't give a rat's ass about Faneca. The dude bailed on us and went to the friggin' Jets for 3 forgettable seasons. Should've stayed with the Steelers and gotten another ring.

I'd still like to see Donnie Shell and Mike Wagner get in, but the Steeler bias won't allow that.

Hall of Fame is an extension of the joke the NFL has become.

Not true Tim, he wanted a contract extension after SB XL.  They told him to wait, but he'd be taken care of.

And he never was, the only "offer" he got prior to 2007 was a ridiculously low offer that wasn't even in the top 10 for guard pay at the time. What set him off in that memorable Q&A during mini-camp was that he felt they lied to him.  I think if they were up front with him after SB XL that maybe he wouldn't get an extension for a variety of reasons (Mainly the future BIG contracts down the line for Polamalu and Ben) that he would have never given that Q&A.

I've seen video of that Q&A, he was so upset in the way he spoke he was shaking.  They wasted all that money on Kendell Simmons' extension and blowing five million on Sean Mahan who was a scrub but they signed simply because Mike Tomlin knew him.  All they had to do was not take the cheap way out and pay Faneca.  One could say not paying him also cost them the Packers Super Bowl because Kemoeatu's missed block on a UPS driver cost them a pick six in a 6 point loss.

That 2007 season was the most emotion I'd ever seen from him on the field in his 10 years here.  Even Larry Zierlien brought up the possibility of Faneca ending his career as a center because of how smart he was, and Faneca publicly stated he would be open to it.

But they never tried to keep him, despite pleas from the other linemen and Roethlisberger after that season ended.
