I think, for Tomlin supporters, it's best to just continue the "never had a losing season" mantra.  The record over most of the last decade is better than an average franchise but, in my view, a prime example of how a team under performs its talent.

Where can one place the blame for such a litany of failure?  I submit changes on the coaching staff, below Tomlin of course, did not seem to right the ship.  We have had a HOF QB, an excellent OL, superior WR talent, a head case at RB with Bell but his talent was well above average and if I recall Tomlin's claim to fame was on the defensive side of the ball.  No doubt Shazier going down hurt there but I don't seem to recall us being dominant on that side of the ball prior to his injury.

Players have changed.  Sometimes for the better.  But the record did not reflect those instances.  Coaches have changed with minimal impact except for the OC and Ben's last year record passing performance.  The only true continuity has been with Tomlin and Colbert.  Colbert seems to do an acceptable job garnering talent.  More so at some positions like WR and not so much at others like CB.  But overall I think the talent on the team has been well above the league average over this time frame.  Tomlin has never had a losing season.  For me, and I think many fans, that falls short of expectations and team talent.  So maybe, just maybe, the right change has yet to come if this team will ever get back to championship caliber.

2011 Tebowed in Denver
2012 no playoffs
2013 no playoffs
2014 11-5 but lose to Ravens at home in wild card game
2015 10-6 get a fluke win in Cin but lose to Denver again
2016 11-5 Best playoff run in recent string but lose to the Pats
2017 13-3 jags kicked our butt at home
2018 no playoffs
2019 Tomlin is still here.  Is there any reason to think things will improve?

Agreed, and so tired of all the garbage people are talking online. This Team needed good defense and coaching like 8 years ago. And every year its the same bullshit.

But this last year the players finally imploded.
