I don't understand this move... He wasn't bad. But didn't show up at times.   But 4 mill a year?

" The Pittsburgh Steelers are making moves to improve the defense and special teams before the 2019 season.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Steelers are signing linebacker Anthony Chickillo to a two-year deal. While not official until Wednesday afternoon, this contract will pay him $8 million.
A sixth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Chickillo recorded a forced and recovered fumble as a rookie while playing primarily on special teams. He started seven games in 2016 while tallying 2.5 sacks along with 24 tackles and two forced fumbles. While he only started in two games in 2017, Chickillo still recorded 14 tackles and 3.0 sacks and scored Pittsburgh's first touchdown of the season after recovering Tyler Matakevich's blocked punt in the team's Week 1 victory over Cleveland. Low bonus all base.

He and Bud are combined $13 million with very little bonus money.

That's why are cap gets gobbled up and we rely on bargain priced garbage.

Laziest front office in football.

We are giving $4 million a year to a guy who was drafted two years BEFORE TJ Watt was.

I keep hoping they have some kind of master plan and are going to spring it on us soon. Like a blockbuster trade or something. But I'm not holding my breath. We still don't have a QB to take the reigns when Ben retires and it's been way overdue. Our number one QB picked last year couldn't even beat out or number 2 for a spot on the game day roster. Offensive line is getting older. it's going to be a rough next couple of years
