2 this year an 3 next. I'm totally good with that! Plus our round 1 at 20, of course. .

Just curious, why do you see Bush as the next Jones and Dupree?

One of his main weaknesses is being slow to recognize misdirection. He gets out of position a lot just like Jones and Dupree. He doesn't diagnose plays well meaning he has to react well after the play develops. He also gets blocked in the run by larger offensive linemen. This was a reach at this point. Will it work out? I hope so. Greedy WIlliams was available there at pick 20 and could be an instant starter in the NFL at CB. Seems like we had the ability to rush the passer already but couldn't translate all that pressure into interceptions on the other end. I also think he's undersized for IL. Just my opinion though |

As for me, I want him to fill and excel at the position that Shazier played. Left a link above that is pretty good breakdown on Bush. |

Rollers; I’m going to have to respectfully disagree. I believe he’ll be an upgrade to Shazier once he learns the defense and adjusts to the NFL game. Was Shazier fast as lightning…? Yes! But I saw way too many bad angles, overrun plays, and poor tackling for my liking.

Yes, although I hate to talk about Shazier the fact is as many great plays he made he ran himself out of many as well and took too many bad angles. Bush is a better tackler and fundamentally more sound than Shazier (IMHO).
It's a good pick, but @ #10 you should get a great player. We didn't give up too much, I think we'll bundle a few of our 8 picks and get back into the 2nd round today. We'll get our #3 back next year in comp for Bell. Next - Minkah, #39! ![]()

I don't think he's an "upgrade' to Shazier at all. |

Much better fundamentals and tackling form than Shazier ever displayed. Write it down. If I'm wrong you can have me fitted for a dunce cap, which I'll don with all due humility. If I'm right... you'll do the same? ![]() |

Remember, we were happy with the Limas Sweed pick too this time of year |
