An early prediction on the final 53-man Steeler roster

Not a lot of surprises here, but I don't agree with his TE selections and OLB. I think Zach Gentry makes it over Scotland-Williamson and I want to see more of Tuzar Skipper (OLB). I think if either of these go to the PS we stand a good chance of losing them to another team.

Also, I think Horton has a chance at WR, I don't think both Rogers and Switzer make the club. 2 dogs, 1 bone.

We need to see more of Henry Mondeaux (DL) as well. He graded out pretty high last week. Time for McCullers to show up or get cut. The "Shade Tree" has done nothing the past 4 years but take up a roster spot.

Good-bye Marcus Allen as well.

What's the odds we trade Dobbs and go with Ben, Mason, and Devlin? Dobbs is a poor man's Cam Newton, IMHO.

Zack had a couple of nice down field blocks on Holton’s Long pass reception. Mondeaux looked good, but it was against guys more than likely not going to be on an NFL roster.

The guy I liked was Hodges. He’s got a decent enough arm and moves real well in the pocket. What I’d like to see is him running the first team offense vs a first team defense. With that he’s going to have WRs where the are supposed to be and the protection would be much better.

As for Dobbs, he was looking like his passes are somewhat scattershot, and if he didn’t break off the runs, which were impressive, still add it all up and you got Korkey II.

Speaking of revisitation, Rudolph is looking a lot like Jones II. Just a little more spunk.

I’m still not at all sold on Bennie Ball.....the burst you need in this league is just not there. Kind of the Tyler Matakevich of the offense. Knows exactly what is going on, what hole to hit, just no wheels to get there.

In all, with the exception of Tampa’s first drive, like us, they mostly fielded players that need to prove they belong in this league, with a small amount of proven NFL caliber players added in.

Don't forget to leave room for the 2 or so obligatory players IR'd for the season or PuP'd till past midway that will get stashed on the roster. A Derwin Grey, Mondeaux, Skipper, Tevin Jones, Hodges are good candidates.
