New member here and it is going to be a long season. Almost seems like a episode of jeopardy. So many questions and no one has answers.

Yeah, it's been pretty darn bad so far. Very anxious to hear the prognosis for Ben. Rudolph looked very good today, but he's not Ben. There's still time to turn the season around. 0-2 isn't a death sentence (as I expressed at the beginning of this thread), but we've gotta find a way to win at least 3 of the next 4 with the games vs. Cinci and Baltimore being true must-wins. |

I'm proposing we devote the rest of this year to seeing what we've got, sans Tomlin... I know it won't happen ... But in my perfect world that's what would happen. This team, with Ben, or without, is going nowhere. And... Its painfully obvious Tomlin is not the man to lead them into the future!
Edit to add: this scenario lets us evaluate both players and coches, coordinators in particular, without the Sound Bite coloring the picture. Think about it...

Nothing against Tomlin, but a change is due not only with him but most of the coaching as well. Who would you want to keep on the staff that he has now? That is a good question.

Well, the reality is, there's very little chance of Tomlin being shown the door even after the season (unless we go 4-12 or worse, which I don't believe will happen), and there's ZERO chance he would be let go during the season. That will never happen.
At the very least, we're stuck with Tomlin for the rest of this season. Hopefully, he can find a way to turn things around. If he does and we make the playoffs, he'll be in consideration for Coach of the Year honors. No joke. |
