Great confidence boost for Rudolph.
Fitz can tackle, no doubt about it. Shades of #43. He's better than anyone we would have drafted in the 1st next year, IMHO. Brings salary of 1.07 mil, 1.975 mil, and 2.7 mil, plus team option for 5th year. Dolphins eat dead cap hits of 2.6 mil and 5 mil. Next - Minkah, #39! ![]()

This looks like a good boost for our Defense. But did we give too much?

Will be the cornerstone of the defense for years to come. Just looking back over the years at the mis-fire draft picks the organization has had on the defensive side of the ball I welcome the trade. get the sure thing. As Saban said: One of the best football players I've ever had at Alabama. Another write-up said like having a coach on the field. Next - Minkah, #39! ![]() |

Totally in on this move. He'll provide impact from the get-go. It sure beats the Steelers drafting a DB early, watching them fail to develop and then the FO still keeping them on the team as a mediocre salary drain. Very good decision on this one.

I'm okay with the trade...
But I hate what it acknowledges about our front office's ability to identify and draft defensive talent, and/or our coaching staff's ability to develop same. Davis = another high-round pick that's gonna wash-out. By my count this trade will give Tomlin/Butler 8 No. 1s on defense... 8 freakin' No. 1 draft picks on one defense, hard to excuse anything but excellence with that going for ya! And... that's not even mentioning the handful of number 2s...
