Mac & Wife, reporting for duty. Not sure there's any real justification for this, but I feel good about our chances today.

I agree... and I'm not facing the 6-hour time difference. Laugh

I have always preferred earlier kickoffs... and I really miss the days when the Super Bowl was played in daylight. I was 7-1/2 years old when Super Bowl X was played, and I was able to watch the entire game with no pestering from my mom about it being late on a school night. After the game, mom made us grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup and we still had time to go sledding on our front hill with the Parr kids from two houses down, re-enacting Swann's catches with snowballs at the bottom of the hill under the street lights. It was freezing flippin' cold and already dark, so we didn't stay out very long. But still... it was all fun. It's a great memory.

I truly wish they'd move the Super Bowl back to an earlier kickoff, although I'd probably opt out of the sledding afterwards these days.  Pi_bigsmile

Chucktownsteeler checking in and reporting for duty. My heart is with the Steelers but my gut says Ravens.

Ravens 27

Steelers 13

sorry.  I've seen this movie all year.  Ravens aren't the bengals.  I'm pretty much done posting much.  you're right I'm to much of a pessimist.  But that gadget crap to Ju JU was symptomatic of what you're going to see today.  I'll post less

I can't get a link but someone on the Steelers coaching staff needs to realize Mason Rudolph is your QB, like it or not. No more Jay-Sam gadget plays, let Rudolph throw the F'N ball.

There I called it, let Rudolph be the QB and throw the ball. I think they'll be pleasantly surprised.

The fruit loop dingus is out of his league. These gadget plays might work at the high school level. Might.

TD JU-JU.

I'm out can't find a link.

This is a must-win for Tomlin and this team. Lose this, the season is over. It ain't 1976.

Still fuming over that ridiculous wildcat play. Terrible execution... but even more, you have to question the idiocy of calling that play in the shadow of your own goalpost. Sheer stupidity.

Tomlin has had the benefit of a Hall of Fame QB his entire career until now. Result? One Super Bowl win with a Bill Cowher-built team. All these years with Ben, and we have only one Lombardi to show for it under Tomlin. Cowher had SQUAT at QB his entire career -- O'Donnell, Brister, Tomczak, Jim Miller, Kent Graham, Kordell Stewart and Tommy Maddox... yet he consistently won. Cowher had only two seasons with Ben (I don't count the 3rd because of the motorcycle accident, appendicitis, concussions, etc.) and he parlayed it into a Super Bowl win and consecutive trips to the AFC Championship.

We will finally see what Tomlin is really made of. He'd better win today, or we're done.

What does Tomlin do during the game?  I don't see him doing anything>  just standing there with his arms crossed and his sunglasses on.  WHAT THE HELL DOES HE DO

Well said, Tim! Been saying the very same thing about The Dingus v Cowher for years now, and Cowher could develop young talent, both players and coaches!
