Chucktownsteeler checking in and reporting for duty.
I have the Steelers by about 10 in this one. We need one of the RBs to put the snow tires on and help Mason. Steelers 27 Browns 17 Here we go, Steelers, here we go! C-town Next - Minkah, #39! ![]()

Mac & Wife, reporting for duty.
We absolutely MUST win these next 3 games, starting with putting the Browns out of their misery tonight. A win will sustain our season... and end theirs. Living in Ohio, the two Browns games over the next three weeks are the most important games of the entire season to me. There are no excuses for losing, nor will their be forgiveness if we blow this opportunity. WE... MUST... WIN. The Steelers have been playing better football than the Browns, and despite of the pregame hype of how "awesomely talented" this Browns team supposedly is on paper (the preseason predictions of a Super Bowl run by the local media and fans were laughably out of control), the Steelers are a better overall team, especially defensively. Baker Mayfield is a dumpster fire. Rarely have I seen so much hype without any substance to back it up. The guy is a Pez dispenser of turnovers. KICK... HIS... ASS. Time to win or die, Steelers. Mike Tomlin: Don't blink. |

Odd how Mason was a 3rd rounder and Mayfield was the Number 1 over all pick. At this point in time I wouldn't trade the 2 for anything. I read the other day Mason has 4 interceptions of which 3 clanked off his WRs hands.
Mayfield asks the Browns fans to be quiet when he's on the field. This guy has issues, starting to look like Johnny Manziel 2.0. Next - Minkah, #39! ![]()

For some reason I see this game is going to be tough... Not for our defense but for the Offensive side? Yes, its the Brownies. But the Steelers Offense needs to score at least 20 points or more to help our D out...

Just win. |

He's played remarkably well considering how little help he's received from his receivers, running game and and OC in terms of play calling. The defense has definitely been his best friend. They're gonna need to do it again tonight, I think. Mayfield is an idiot. All hype. No substance. I won't quite put him in the Manziel category because I don't think he's a train wreck off the field (yet), but I understand the comparison. If the Browns lose this game (as they should), the fans will turn on him... and he will turn on them. It's about to get very ugly in Cleveland, provided we win tonight. If we lose, however, it will suddenly get very ugly in Pittsburgh. This is a must-win. |

If the recievers don't start catching the ball and stop fumbling we lose this game. Simple as that. Rudolph is going to have to throw downfield for us to win and that means this offensive line has to protect him. Fichtner needs to be on his A game, not sure his A game is good enough though. So maybe his A+ game. Run the entire offense tonight. I have a bad feeling about this game. The steelers should win but how many times has a Tomlin team struggled against awful teams and lost? All the ingredients are there for a Browns win. Let's hope the Steelers play hard tonight.

Decent weather predicted. That should not impact the result.
I get to watch tonight, I think for the third time this year, and plan to enjoy the event. Leaving tomorrow on an early flight to Pittsburgh for a couple of birthday celebrations. I hope the score adds to the festivities. |

Strangely enough, I have more doubts about this game than I had against the Rams. (I actually wasn't surprised by that win).
We're coming off a big win and I kinda feel we're ready for a huge letdown game, especially with it being a Thursday game with a quick turnaround. (The least the schedulers could have done is give us a 1:00 start time last Sunday). Nix is out for the foreseeable future, and our running game has done next to nothing without him. And for some reason, our receivers keep deflecting passes in the vicinity of defenders. I'll actually be surprised if we win this. We can win it. But somehow, I think if we are going to win it, we need a breakout game by Rudolph. The problem is, we haven't really seen many (any?) signs that that's happening any time soon. Hoping for the best, but not expecting much.

I just threw up in my mouth a little watching Erin Andrews interview Baker Mayfield.

I really want the steelers to win this. The Browns have two really good running backs. I'm not convinced our D can stand up to that over the long haul. Mayfield has been playing well last couple of weeks. I don't see the steelers winning this. But I'm going to hope for the best. Go Steelers!

Off to another 0-7 start.
Can we have a game where we actually take an early lead? |

Thankful for the PI penalty. I like the deep attempt, although the pass was well short of hitting the receiver in stride in typical Rudolph fashion.

Fuck. He bobbled the snap. Seriously, guys??? Wasted drive.
Rudolph has GOT to learn to slide in the pocket a little. His feet are stone. |

We're getting pretty good pressure on Mayfield. We've come REALLY close several times. Keep after him.

That was a nice throw and catch. Came out of Rudolph's hand on time, on target.

3 yard passes aren't getting it done.
