This whole, long episode is going to have a sad ending.

NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown has reportedly “locked himself in” his Florida home as police continued Wednesday to investigate an alleged battery incident that took place there the previous day, reports say.

Hollywood police public information officer Christian Lata said Wednesday that the embattled free agent has “locked himself in his house” despite multiple attempts by law enforcement to contact him regarding a possible battery incident involving a moving truck driver, USA Today reported.

Police were initially called to Brown’s home on Tuesday after the victim accused him and his trainer, Glen Holt, of battery outside the residence, ESPN reported. The driver had been hired to move Brown’s things.

Holt was arrested and charged with one count of burglary and battery. Brown has not been charged but remains a suspect.

The latest apparent incident came less than a week after the Hollywood Police Department cut ties with Brown following an incident outside his home involving the mother of his children.

Brown has remained silent on Twitter, posting a link to his music. He did, however, cryptically tweeted “They want my name slandered.”

Pretty sad when you think of this. I do hope he finds some help and also the Lord and Savior.

I also agree I think Burflict had a large part in this.

I also thought the same thing until his history, all the way back to high school, was brought to my attention.  I was not previously aware that, prior to his career at Central Michigan, he had a scholarship to play for Florida International but was expelled before ever playing a snap due to "an altercation with security..."  It was further reported that, while at Central Michigan, "Brown had difficulty adjusting to the college lifestyle, and being on-time for meetings and practice..."
It appears the present self-destructive pattern of behavior was in play long before Burfict tried to take his head off.

That is somewhat surprising, it seems like the first 5 or so years here he was a model citizen and great teammate. Also, a workout warrior.

I'll give ya' "workout warrior", wouldn't be at-all surprised if that were still true.  As for "model citizen"... I wonder... The negative patterns of behavior seem to trace back pretty far.  Kinda makes me wonder how good (great?!?) the Steelers' "fixers" were for all the years AB was in town.
