1982 Steelers 27 vs Eagles 24 Preseason

Terry Bradshaw shines, completing 25 of 45 for 389 yds and 3 TDs as he leads the Steelers on a furious comeback to overcome a 24-7 deficit. Bradshaw goes 6-for-6 on Pittsburgh's final 98-yd game-winning drive, capped by a perfectly thrown "touch" pass to Bennie Cunningham with 2 minutes remaining. The win gives the Steelers a perfect 4-0 preseason record.

These old pre-season games amaze me. Guys play their @$$es off in front of sold-out crowds. Definitely worth the price of admission in those days.

There are some RIDICULOUS throws by Terry Bradshaw in this game... both ridiculous in the sense of, "OMG, how did he throw that amazingly perfect pass?" and "OMG, why would he try to squeeze that pass in there?"

The dude never stopped being a gunslinger. You watch some of these games from '82 and his arm still seems magnificent. He must've been playing with tremendous pain to opt for surgery, because he could still whip that sucker around.

Tim,

You have the scores at the end of the second and third quarters wrong. It was 21-7 Eagles at halftime and 24-14 Eagles after three quarters.

Also, Bradshaw's game winning touchdown pass to Cunningham was from sixteen yards out.
