Very happy that they're off to such a great start, and it's pretty amazing to be 8-0. Never would've predicted that (at least, not seriously) coming into the season. With as many great teams as the Steelers have fielded, it's hard to believe it's the first time ever.
I haven't seen enough to have a feel for how good this team actually might be, but I admit I've done some score-checking and watched postgame highlights on YouTube the last 3-4 weeks. Based on the little I've seen, I wouldn't bet much on them going undefeated. But who knows? 8 wins in a row is remarkable, but it's something the Steelers have done multiple times over the years. There's still a LONG road ahead. |

Bungles, Ratbirds or Bills seems like where they will lose. If they lost to Dallas it would of hurt less because its an NFC Team?

And Tomlin still has never had a losing season.

I'd never have given it to Connor on a sweep. I think they lost track of the play clock. Maybe should have used a T.O.(11-12-2020, 11:47 PM)Chucktownsteeler Wrote: And Tomlin still has never had a losing season. Very reminiscent of Noll and his choice to go for it on a 4th and 9 in the Super Bowl. Noll had also lost all confidence and faith in his special teams. I'll never forget Iron Mike's response to this call. Next - Minkah, #39! ![]()

Ive watched all the games this season. The loss of Bush in the middle hurt. They're trying to cover slot receivers with TJ and Spilane and we've been burnt - bad. Ben's been managing games aka Trent Diler, and is moving like a redwood tree. We've also got a nasty, nasty habit of playing down to teams. I think the Bungles and the Jags are both winable games - but trap games none the less. The next true test will be the Ratbirds during Thanksgiving.
The NFL is just waiting for the Steelers to stumble (they're not who they made themselves out to be!) so they can place the favored Chiefs atop the AFC. |
