Can't believe with the Steelers becoming AFC North Champs and next week hosting a playoff game against the Browns, just how dead the first and once great Steelers message board has become. I've been here almost since the beginning, mostly under a different user name and never thought it would come to this. Even when Tim stepped aside and Bill (from Hanover) kept it afloat, this place still had some life even with no game film that Tim and others  have provide for us.

I know Tim along with others have boycotted watching the games for reasons well stated but let me tell you that the pregames bullshit has not been shown and all I've seen was a season to remember so far. Sucks that if they happen to make it all the way to hoisting trophy #7 that you all will not witness it (unless you are closet watching).

To all the past posters who read this and know or don't know who i am I hope you and your families are doing well and also hope 2021 winds up becoming a better year for everyone than last year was.

Just an FYI, the message board was hacked around Thanksgiving and shut down by our host. A very small group of people (you two, for example) were for some reason still able to post. But for most of us (including me), we couldn't login.

The board definitely is dead compared to the heyday. But not quite THAT dead. 

Thankfully, we were able to find the corrupted file and get things back up and running today.

I've been shut out for months.  Never could get beyond trying to sign in.  I'm glad the issue has been repaired.  Too late for this season but thanks to all who made it happen.  

This will always be a season of what might have been.  Injuries impacted performance but they are always part of the game.  What I did see when I watched was uninspired play and pedestrian tactics over the last half of the season.  Tomlin may be a motivator and liked by the players but he seems to lack the ability to put his teams over the top save 2008.  I'm  sure many can make the case that was Cowher's team.

I agree, whatever chance we had ended when Bud Dupree went down. It is odd, we lost (2) starting LBs to non-contact injuries, plus also our RT. I just wonder it this is an aberration or something else going on here. Not counting Banner (RT), I just wonder if the LBs are getting to "fast" and "trim" for their bodies to absorb.

I still think that the Steeler's Gold Pants are the hottest in the league still.  Maybe no Super Bowl, but at least some consolation.

I would lie and say I don't want Tampa Bay in the SB because I just can't stand seeing Brady - but it's AB.   I think him mugging for the camera and thumbing it in the Steelers eye will semi-hurt the young WR's.

Holy crap. I haven't been watching, so I honestly didn't even realize AB was with Tampa. Forgot all about it.

There’s been years when I kept the porch light on here feeling much like the Maytag repairman. I’m pretty disgusted with the NFL on a number of different levels at the moment, but still, almost 60 years of being a fan it’s hard to give them up. I have managed to purge myself of the Pirates having been a fan for the same length of time, but 30 years of garbage I’ve closed that door. I’m glad in my retirement I be able to watch a real baseball team intent on winning as opposed to an entity  that  #1 goal is to make the owners family generationally wealthy.

Shortly we will be moving to the greater St.Louis area (Illinois)
