Im a long time Vikings fan, and I began learning about the Vikings in Super Bowl 9, it was a cold messy day in the Super Bowl. And since that game, I wanted to beat the Steelers every time the Vikings met them. These two teams were major threats in the 70's. The Purple People Eaters meets the Steel Curtin. We have met 11 times since 1980, and the Steelers have the upper hand in wins. The Steelers is my favorite match up in the AFC.

I've been fortunate enough to witness two Steelers/Vikings games in person over the years (2001 and 2009), both of them very exciting.  My favorite Vikings moment of all time? Tommy Kramer hits Ahmad Rashad on a Hail Mary vs. Cleveland in 1980 to win the game on the final play (preceded by a perfectly-executed "hook-n-lateral" play). |
