A very rare trade (in the days pre-free agency) brought the PA product to Steeler team. Having his dad on the coaching staff didn't hurt either. 

Overall pretty much a nothing burger, he could not unseat Bubby Brister. Probably his claim to fame was being drafted ahead of Dan Marino, in the famous QB class of '83. He did lead Penn State and JoePa to a National Championship, so there is that. Steelers got him for a #4 draft pick.

Pretty much a ho-hum story.
