This is getting old. BLM has been proven to be a Marxist shake down outfit. No mention is ever given on the black-on-black crime and murders. Just extort, cancel, and ruin as many as you can. Meantime hundreds are killed every month in cities such as Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Philadelphia, etc.

Enough is enough.

Old isn’t the word for it. It’s becoming counter productive.

While I’ll pay my tribute to the NFL for game rewind, but I’ll only watch the games in either condensed mode or coaches view, which will allow me to watch the games minus all the BS, announcer hype, and commercials.

Have not bought a ticket in decades and foolish moves like this would hardly be cause to buy another. Blue lives matter. White lives matter. I'm don't think black lives matter any more than others. My view is it is just another tactic by liberals and democrat socialists to divide and gain power.

BLM is a proven marxist organization and really should have no place in a Constitutional Republic. The sheeple or lower information citizen might support it but not me.

I don't have a problem with the song, knowing it was hymn written to honor Abraham Lincoln's birthday.

If this song is being sung as intended -- as a celebration of liberty and the emancipation of enslaved people and the continued battle against racism -- I welcome it. Those are all very worthy aims.

However, if it's meant to be a "separate but equal" anthem for black people -- implying "The Star Spangled Banner" somehow doesn't apply to to them -- I can't go for that.

I also can't get onboard with kneeling during the National Anthem (if that continues) or the names of criminals on helmets, positioning them as heroes and martyrs. Those are the things that kept me from watching last year.

Ultimately, I just wish they'd stick to football and keep the social justice and the politics of "wokeness" out of it.

Tim you have to know that's not what this is about.  This is goodell pandering and bowing to the left.  That's the ONLY reason he's doing this.  I wish they would stop playing the national anthem before sporting events all together.  I used to get emotional when the star bangled banner was played.  Not anymore.  I didn't watch a single game last year and won't this year.  unfortunately most will continue to watch and spend money.  There is one US anthem. One.  Not two or three or four.  I'm sick of all of it

Yes, I do know it's pandering. But so is all of the attention they give to the military and first responders, which also have nothing to do with football. The pink socks and wrist bands and shoes were pandering.

I'm okay with a certain level of it, because not all of it is bad.

The kneeling and the glorification of criminals as heroes through names on helmets, etc.? I can't handle that.

But singing a hymn before football games that praises God (with a capital "G")? I'm good with that, even though I understand that there are those who will try to portray it as something that it's not.

To your point, I don't like that they've labeled it the black "national anthem," because we already have a National Anthem. Unity would be better served calling it what it is: a song about black freedom and human rights.

Personally, I prefer "America the Beautiful" to our current National Anthem. My hope is that they don't end up replacing it with "Lift Every Voice and Sing."

The first responders and the military add a lot to our society. They can be honored by the playing of the national anthem. However it would appear we need to add an "anthem" for the black folks. I don't agree it's the same thing at all. I just wish they would do away with playing the national anthem before sporting events all together. That might make everyone happy

I'd like to see one of the solutions below, but probably won't.

1.) The players stay in the locker-room until after the anthem is played.

2.) Don't play the anthem at all.

I like the first one a bit better than the 2nd one. Just my 0.2 cents.

Goodell is 100% wrong though when he says there would be no NFL without African-Americans. There would be no NFL without FANS.

Also, until we recognize we are AMERICANS, end of story the communist will continue to try and divide and conquer us. Will we ever stop this nonsense of hyphenating American? I doubt it. Sad but true.
