A win vs Detroit = first place for Steelers

Don't look now, but with Miami's win over Baltimore, the Steelers will be tied for first place with a win over Detroit Sunday.

I believe we will handle Detroit but the truth be told it might be a close game. I am not sure of the score but I am thinking maybe:

Steelers 24

Lions 17

Steelers coming in on a short week and the Lions were on the bye week.

Speaking of the Ravens when they beat the Lions it was on the long field goal that hit the cross bar and clanked in. It might be the NFL record, I am not sure. But going back to that game the ravens should have had a "delay of game" penalty that would have backed them up 5 yards and the kick would have been short. The ravens have been winning close games however the Lions should have won that game, if the penalty had been called. It will be close and I hate to say it but this is the type of game we have been known to lose in the past.

I am absolutely terrified by this game.

As you said, we're on a short week after a win that felt like a loss, they're coming off a bye at 0-8 with nothing to lose. If ever there was a potential "trap" game, this is it.

Tomlin-coached teams have a long history of playing down to the competition. They just did it last week. Here's hoping they won't do it this week.

Win, and we're in first place. Lose, and we're in last place.

Thanks, I know JuJu is out for the year after being hit on an end around. I couldn’t remember how Claypool was injured but the latest wasn’t that is was season ending, but week to week.

I predict Tomlin brings back the wildcat, after last week.
