During Mike Tomlin’s tenure as Pittsburgh Steelers head coach, you can count on one hand the number of games the team played as ugly as last Sunday’s humiliating loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
This is a fact not missed on head coach Mike Tomlin when he spoke to the media on Tuesday. According to Tomlin, the Steelers are going to “wallow in our stench for while and wait for next opportunity to play football.”
That next opportunity is this Sunday and it could be just as ugly as last week. Pittsburgh welcomes the Baltimore Ravens to town and if you thought slowing Joe Mixon down was hard, just wait for this Ravens run game to get going.
Unfortunately, there just isn’t much the Steelers can do week-to-week, especially in the middle of an NFL season to fix the kinds of roster problems this team has. But one thing that can be improved is effort which has been lacking.

There's little distinction between "wallowing" and "unleashing hell."

Empty words that make no difference in performance. Eyes I couldn't give two $#!ts what Tomlin says to the media anymore. It's all recycled bull$#!t.

With the exception of a handful of players (you know who they are), this team seems infected with complacency. IMO, Tomlin is the carrier.

I am not sure if I read this right but if the team does not win a playoff game this year it will be the longest draught sine Bill Austin was head-coach (he proceeded Chuck Noll).

Also, read an article quoting Ben saying how the locker-room atmosphere has changed over time. I don't pin this all on Tomlin but I think he has pretty much lost any control of the team he ever had. Probably will see more of the same accross all sports, as the age of Tik-Tok and social justice warriors have pretty much damned our society.
