New Footage! Immaculate Reception - Catch and End of Game including Fred Swearingen Phone Call

WOW!!! Newly discovered footage of the end of the Immaculate Reception game Franco's miraculous catch and the frenzied aftermath, including referee Fred Swearingen's controversial phone call to NFL Senior Official Art McNally.

It's noteworthy that the announcers who witnessed the play first-hand don't even question that 1) the ball hit Tatum, and 2) Franco caught the ball. These reaities are obvious in this broadcast, and other recently discovered footage such as the wide angle "All 22" game film (which the Raiders kept hidden for nearly 50 years) also confirm it.

Thanks to Retro Maven for making this incredible clip available!

Just saw something that blew up a claim that John Madden made for years. He always claimed that the thing that bothered him was that the referees never made a call on whether it was a touchdown or not until after the phone call.

But you can clearly see at the two minute mark of the video that the referee calls touchdown.

Sorry John, RIP. But you are dead wrong, and the video proves it.

You can actually hear him moaning and groaning about it here from the 18:30 mark. --> https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ta...0550509546

If this clip you just shown us Tim is available then I would think the full game is out there somewhere.
Be nice if you got your hands on it.

Here is another cool angle,

An amazing find thanks to retro maven and tim for this it definitely shows it was a totally legal play to everyone except the raider conspiracy nuts lol a great raider Phil villapiano who was covering franco always said the ball didn't hit the ground but did say he was clipped by the tight end before he could tackle franco which was true lol

I wonder if that still bothers Raider fans. John Madden said it still does before his death
