Golf yesterday was in a light mist. Did not look promising today so I watched the game. This team was outclassed. That was more or less expected.
I'm glad they did not bring Watt back for the game. He would not have been the difference. I'm also still of a mind that they should clean house before the trade deadline assuming they can find partners. This season is not going to be salvaged. I'd be willing to listen to offers for any player including Watt and Fitzpatrick. A complete rebuild is in the offing and the more draft choices the better when that's your future. The announcers were very kind to Tomlin. I wonder if he can walk on water. Sarcasm. I liked the trick plays. First score. Fake punt. Those were creative but the offense was still pretty stale with short passes and too many runs stuffed for 3 yards or less. Tomlin blew it again when he failed to challenge the pass to Pickens. I thought he had help with this type of decision but maybe he's beyond help. This issue did not stem the overt praise from the announcing team. The play would not have completely changed the outcome but it again demonstrated one of his failings in game management. There was so much over the top praise for the coach it made me realize the game at the local without sound is more fun. I guess it's possible the team can unleash hell after the bye. I'm confident Tomlin will come up with some words that will entertain the media and some fans. I just wish they would pull the plug and put a stamp on a losing season and a rebuild. |

There are major, major issues with this team. They won't be fixed in a draft or 2. Based on KP8 latest statements I think the lockeroom is lost.

Despite media reports to the contrary, I believe it’s been lost for more than a few years now… ever since AB was allowed to operate under his own set of non-rules for the last 2/3s of his tenure, give or take. How else do you explain the numerous round one playoff meltdowns against supposed inferior competition…? Without Ben to cover his a$$ Tomlin is finally being exposed for who/what he really is. Has no answers, never did, all the way back to “…unleash hell…”
