Lots of pearl clutching in the media about this.  Eyes  My opinion? BFD.

Seriously doubt it had anything to do with Damar Hamlin's scary situation. Even if it did, I wouldn't really care. But these guys care about each other and I'd bet serious money it was just bad timing.

You're probably correct... In this snow flake Era

But maybe because people are so sensitive to stuff.

It was bad timing.
Not sure. Don't care. Season is over

I mentioned it on the game thread (#138). BFD, they have done this a few times over the season.

It had nothing to do with Damar, but you know cancel culture these days.

Much ado about nothing.

It may be a controversial opinion, but the Hamlin reaction was WAY overblown.

There have been numerous players 'ambulanced' off the field - and the game continued. Should have been so in this case. What's next in the NFL? A midfield drum circle for hurt feelings?

I feel the game should have continued after a period for each team to collect their thoughts and warm up. I agree this is not the first incident of an ambulance on the field. I think the league was wrong in their approach after the decision to not play. The rules are set up for this sort of event and should have been followed.

Every injury is unfortunate. Some more than others but an injury to one player should not impact the entire league.

My son played QB for his HS team. He was knocked unconscious and concussed. An ambulance was brought onto the field and I rode with him to the hospital. The game continued. His condition was handled appropriately by the medical staff and the school. I was fully supportive of the move to continue the game. He was as well once he regained his faculties.

He was fortunate to not suffer any permanent damage. I can't remember exactly but I think he sat out the next game. Prudent and sensible approach. That was a decade and a half ago before liberal wokeness began to destroy athletics.
