What a cool piece of memorabilia, but even more, what a cool "quest" for Merrill Shaffer. I think on some level, every Steelers fan can relate to this.Sad to think how many of these men have already passed. Toews looks great, though. Still fit enough to probably earn a starting job at LB in Cleveland.

After reading this thread I'm in shock!
I actually met a guy here in Campbell who claimed he was an ex Steeler. I didn't know to believe him or not. When I asked him his name, he said his last name was Toews. This was about 5 months ago. Campbell is a small town inside of San Jose.

There's a game on the site, can't remember which one it is, where the announcer repeatedly calls Toews (which is pronounced "tayvz" for those of you who don't know) "Leon Toes." Actually, Jeff Toews played in two Super Bowls with the Dolphins. That's six Super Bowls between the two of them!!
