Looks like Tannehill may be gone for the season

Knee surgery looks more than probable. Can the road for the pats get any easier? The Jets, Bills and Fins are weak sisters in the best of times. I suggest you can chalk up 6 wins for the pats this year making home field for the Steelers just that much more of a challenge.

Back in the Dolphin glory days it was the same scenario. You had a great Dolphin team and the rest of their division were pretty much lay downs for them. The poor Mr Tannehill will just have to suffer by spending more time with his missus this season. Poor shmuck. ![]() "Just give me a six-pack and 30 minutes to rest and lets go out and play 'em again!" - Jack Lambert |

I always feel bad for players who make it to the NFL and never really get a chance to get their careers off the ground due to injuries. I can't really even imagine the frustration there. As far as how Tannehill's injury may or may not affect the Pats? I don't think it really makes a difference. Even with Tannehill, I don't think the Dolphins would be a major threat to unseat New England for the division crown. I definitely agree with your implication that losing Tannehill will impact Miami's record negatively. From my own purely self-interested standpoint, I'd say it helps solidify a playoff spot for the Steelers if we stumble and somehow end up in position for a Wildcard slot instead of winning the division as we should. Also, if the Patriots sew up their weak division early, maybe we'll be facing reserves when we play them in Dec.? In any case, I don't view this as a negative for the Steelers. I feel bad for Tannehill, but I think it strengthens our standing a little. |

I'll say one thing for the Fins. Their qb's wives are some of the best looking in football. I don't know how to drop in a photo of Cutler's wife but have seen one or two and she's a stunner.
