Eli only saw 33% of the snaps yesterday.  He's your alleged #3 WR.

Bryant was off the field for 19 snaps yesterday.  He's your alleged #2 WR.

And people wonder why this offense sucks.

  • Martavis Bryant: 8 targets, 2 catches, dropped a perfectly thrown TD bomb from Ben, still frequently looks confused, still mistimes his jumps badly (consistently too early), is below average at gaining body position, doesn't show good burst to separate when the ball is in the air, doesn't seem to run crisp routes. In short, the guy isn't progressing AT ALL.
  • Eli Rogers: 0 targets, 0 catches, 1 HUGE muffed punt
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster: 6 targets, 2 catches
Empty backfield is AWFUL. Why we constantly split Bell out like a WR and take away the threat of the run is baffling.

Agreed and Marcanibus' only skill is his illegal "push-off" (which most WR do) and I'm sure will bite us at the most inopportune time.

Doesn't matter. Leave them out there. I'd rather see them than waste any snaps on scrubs like Nix, Handless-Bey, and McDonald.

Bell has been a shadow of his former self so far this year. Splitting him out at least creates a potential match up issue. And opens up the throwing lanes for Ben. $12 million, $17 million, whatever. So far he's not been worth 1. I'd trade him tomorrow for a #1. That is if any team is willing to go there. Willing, stupid or both!

I'm not defending Bell but the OL has stunk the joint out and play selection is pathetic.

Empty set = pass

RB in backfield = run

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

I would have like to seen Connor and Watson get a few carries.

The OL is overrated.

People think because Haley calls 4356 WR screens and every run is up the middle and Bell breaks a few that means they are playing well.

When it's the exact opposite.
