Not much to say. I’m sure Crash might have more than a few comments. This is a Super Bowl contender? Pathetic on both sides of the ball. Even special the teams had breakdowns. When the defensive play of the game is your kicker tackling a player 80 yards upfield after having your kick blocked, you know it’s going to be a long day.

What changed when they were down?

I'll tell you what changed. The multi-TE/fullback formation was sent to detention, then the 10-19-84 offense with 1 TE took over, and the offense looked as good as it's looked in weeks.

Btw, see Haley tell Ben to shut the fuck up? And then on their next series went back to his fullback offense and running more trick plays?

Just what we need, an unqualified imbecile playing head games with a HOF quarterback, DURING the goddamn game.

Before the 2 point play.

Btw Haley wanted to kick the PAT, Tomlin told them to go for two.

Have you all seen the poster, “Do not disturb, Steeler game in progress”? I’m got to order one that says, “I’m disturbed, Steeler Game in progress”....

So much potential.... maddening.

I’ll see if I can get that on game rewind. There is/was no excuse for that kind of crap.

I just replayed that sequence on the 2 point conversion. I’m not sure who Haley was yelling at, But Ben was about 15-20 yards away talking to the official. No doubt Haley was blessing the heck out of somebody, but I don’t think it was Ben. That said, whatever, there is no excuse for that.

I thought he said Mike just watching it again. And Ben said he was getting it from both.

Haley wanted to kick the PAT, Tomlin wanted to go for two.

If he said Mike, and it was Mike TOMLIN he was referring to? Haley should be fired TONIGHT.

So,,,since i did not see the game and would not even had watched if I had the chance,,,,,  someone tell me this.  Actually how about someone who has deep historical recollections help with this.  How many times during the Tomlin (puke) era has one of his teams actually come back from their bye and played crisp, like they were well prepared and their game plans were solid?  I sure don't recall too many times, but plenty of the opposite.  Btw, did the kindergarten celebrations look like they had more emphasis and preparation then the actual game preparation?

Ben has always struggled early in the first half after a bye week. But Haley never helps matters with his rotations.

They left the talent on the field mostly after being down 14 points and you could see the offense start getting their rhythm.

Four scoring drives the #Steelers ran 29 plays.

Plays with 2+ TE's?  Four.

Plays with Nix on the field?  Two (Last two of the game from the Colts 18 yard line).

See how easy when you keep the speed on the field?

He must have a “special” relationship with Tomlin, if it was that Mike Haley was addressing. I saw the after game interview with Ben, and I didn’t here him call out either coach , other than it was an alignment issue on a play they didn’t work on much, much like the rest of the offensive game plan, but I digress. As for who Haley was addressing, it could have been Mike Munchak, of whom I sure wouldn’t want to P.O.

I did see Haley mouth "STFU" , not sure who he said it to but it may have been Ben. One  of these players needs to give Haley an attitude adjustment, if you get my drift. Dude looked hung-over 100% yesterday.

I caught a little of the Patricheaters/ Broncos game last night and if nothing changes they will spank us. Brady looks better than ever.

Because they value Brady and stay out of he and McDaniels way.

O'Brien left and they brought back a guy who worked with Brady before.

Fired Arians and hired a former Saint Vincent's ball boy.

I don't think so. I actually think we're gonna stick it to them. We're at home under the lights in a nationally televised game. I don't expect a blowout, but if anyone is gonna run away with it, I think it will be us.

Just my gut. Could be wrong.

I have zero confidence in this offense.  And Burns seems to be unable to learn how to stop looking in the backfield and is getting burned quite a bit.  The defense played well 2nd half finally but that was Brisset who should scare no one.  Dunno Tim.  This team is 7 - 2 and I feel like they could blow up completely at any time.

There was an issue with the safety play on both long touchdowns. True, Burns got burned, but Mitchell in a one high safety formation should have been shaded to his side or at least watching.

In all fairness, even the best corners do this . Mel Blount in the Super Bowl, gave up a TD to some guy, Percy Howard for a TD in the Super Bowl, the only catch of his career.

Funny thing, just about the whole Tennessee coaching staff either played for the Steelers or coached for them. It’s going to be homecoming week for those guys. We’ll see.

yeah "everyone" does it.  Burns is making a habit of it.  I'll take Blount over Burn.

It's be interesting to see Blount play in today's NFL.  Hell, it'd be interesting to see Woodson play in *todays* NFL.   They'd be 'dirty', flag-collecting, 15-yard-penalty-until-ejected guys  Censored

It’s really hard to compare players from different eras, but I think that both Woody and Blount could play today. Now, whether they would be corners of safeties is up for discussion. On that score Woody might be a solid corner, but would be an all world safety. I’m not so sure Blount had the top end speed to line up against some of these guys running 4.3s. But as a 2 high safety, absolutely.
